Terms of Engagement

These terms apply whenever you engage Richard Evans (“I”, “me”), trading as Richard Evans Admissions, a sole trader of Flat 65 Schomberg House, Page Street, London, SW1P 4BP, to provide postgraduate or MBA admissions consulting services. Please read them before booking. By paying for or otherwise engaging my services, you agree to these terms.

What I provide

I provide advisory and coaching services to support postgraduate and MBA applicants, which may include profile strategy, personal statement coaching, CV positioning, interview preparation, and related guidance, as agreed with you before work begins. The exact scope of any engagement will be confirmed with you directly.

I do not write personal statements, essays or other application materials on a client's behalf for submission as their own work. My role is to help you develop, structure and strengthen your own writing and application strategy. The final materials you submit are your own.

Booking and payment

Fees are agreed with you before work begins. Payment is due as set out at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing. I reserve the right to pause work on an engagement where payment is significantly overdue.

Rescheduling and cancellation

If you need to reschedule a session, please give as much notice as you can, I'll always try to be flexible. Engagement fees are fixed and agreed in advance. I reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee, or a fee for insufficient progress, of £250 per session if a session is cancelled with less than 72 hours' notice or if agreed deadlines are not being met.

No guaranteed outcomes

Admissions decisions are made solely by universities, based on a wide range of factors outside my control. While I bring genuine expertise and a strong track record to every engagement, I cannot and do not guarantee any specific admissions outcome, offer, or scholarship. Individual results vary.

Confidentiality

Anything you share with me about your background, application, or personal circumstances is treated as confidential and used only to support your engagement. See the Privacy & Cookie Policy for how your data is handled.

From time to time, I may ask your permission to showcase aspects of your work or your results as a future exemplar for other clients, or as a review. This is always entirely your decision, not mine. Given the nature of my client base, I take client discretion seriously, and nothing is ever shared without your explicit agreement.

Intellectual property

Any materials, frameworks or written feedback I provide as part of an engagement are for your personal use in your own application. Your own application materials, statements, essays, CVs, remain entirely yours.

Liability

I'll deliver services with reasonable care and skill, but I do not accept liability for your application outcome, or for any indirect or consequential loss. My total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, which cannot be excluded under English law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales and the United Kingdom.
