My Track Record
12× the average acceptance rate.
8 years running (and counting)
My reputation is built on getting my clients superior results.
I believe in transparency in how my results are calculated:
- I tracked the results of 57 clients over the past three admissions cycles (2023–26)
- A client is anyone who completed my paid 20-hour programme
- First/second choice is agreed with the client before we begin working together
- “Offer rate” means whether the client received an offer from their agreed 1st or 2nd choice
Average acceptance rate for top-5 business school courses
I can safely say, if it wasn't for Richard guiding me through the process, I would have never received an offer from LSE.
Recent Offers
Offers my clients have received.
Results from the past two admissions cycles.
I put painstaking effort into keeping these figures current: cross-referencing government and university datasets, and submitting my own Freedom of Information (FOI) requests where official data isn't published. Where data is partial or missing, I use the highest-quality secondary sources available.

Before You Ask
A few common questions.
About Admissions Consulting
What does a university admissions consultant do?
An admissions consultant advises applicants on strategy, positioning and presentation across their application: profile strategy, personal statement coaching, CV positioning and interview preparation. I work with postgraduate, MBA and PhD applicants to build the strongest possible case for their target course, from strategy through to submission and interview.
What's the difference between an admissions consultant and an educational consultant?
The terms are often used interchangeably. "Educational consultant" is a broader title that can also cover school selection or career guidance. My work is specifically postgraduate, MBA and PhD admissions consulting: strategy, personal statement coaching, interview preparation and test strategy for a specific application.
Do you offer personal statement help?
Yes. Personal statement coaching is at the core of my work. I help you structure your statement and sharpen how you tell your story. The final writing is always your own, see the ethics question below, but I will talk you through hundreds of refinements, tips and tricks to get your personal statement and application essay to the top of the pile.
Do you provide MBA admissions consulting?
Yes. MBA and EMBA admissions consulting is a core part of my work, with a 100% scholarship record for my MBA and EMBA clients over the past three years.
Do you provide PhD admissions consulting?
Yes, alongside my core postgraduate and MBA work. Get in touch with your target programme and background and I'll tell you honestly how I can help.
Are you an admissions coach, admissions advisor or admissions tutor?
Those terms describe much of the same work: admissions coach, admissions advisor, admissions tutor and admissions consultant. Whichever term you use, particularly common with UK clients, the support is the same: strategy, personal statement coaching, interview preparation and application review.
Can you help me with...
Do you support US, MBA/EMBA and European applications?
Yes to all three. Alongside UK admissions, I regularly support US applications: MIT, Yale, Columbia and Brown are among recent successes, and European programmes including HEC Paris, ESCP, IE and Bocconi. MBA and EMBA applications are a core part of my work too, with a 100% scholarship record for my MBA and EMBA clients over the past three years.
Do you help with interview preparation?
I consider myself a world expert on Kira Talent, Shortlister and HireVue tutoring, with a 94% success rate of converting my students' interviews into offers. I'll conduct recorded mock interviews with you, then watch them back together.
Do you support with job applications, including finance and consulting roles?
Yes. Many of my students apply to master's programmes and jobs at the same time, and I support both. There's a lot of overlap with CV writing, test prep, interviewing and cover letter writing.
Do you offer CV reviews?
Yes, as part of my overall support package. See CV writing help for more detail.
Do you help with scholarship applications?
Yes. Scholarship strategy is built into my support wherever it's available, from identifying which scholarships you're eligible for through to the extra essays and interviews they often require. 1 in 4 of my students have made a positive financial return on working with me once scholarships and fee reductions are taken into account.
Do you work with undergraduates?
My focus is postgraduate, MBA and EMBA admissions, from a client's final undergraduate year through to executive level. I don't typically take on first-degree (undergraduate) applications, but get in touch if you'd like to discuss your circumstances.
Will you write my application or personal statement for me?
No. I provide an entirely ethical service. Every word of your application has to be your own. I'll help you find your strongest story and sharpen how you tell it, but I do not write, or arrange for anyone else to write, application content on a client's behalf. Please do not contact me if you're looking for anything unethical.
Meeting the requirements
I don't meet the minimum entry requirements, should I still apply?
Often, yes. 67% of my clients begin below the stated minimum. A published requirement is a starting point for the admissions committee, not a hard cutoff. The right application can close that gap.
I don't have work experience, can I still apply?
Yes. Many clients are final-year students or early-career professionals with limited experience. My approach is built to make a strong case without it.
GMAT & GRE
Can you get me a GMAT or GRE waiver?
In many cases, yes. Several clients have secured formal GMAT and GRE waivers as part of their application. It's a case that has to be built and argued, not simply requested, and it's part of the strategy work we do together.
My GMAT or GRE score is below the average, can you help?
Yes. In fact, my successful clients' average GMAT sits 30-40 points below the class average at their target course, demonstrating both the effectiveness of our work together and the value of having the right application strategy.
Do you offer GMAT/GRE and test prep help?
I can advise on strategy and have a long-standing relationship with the top test prep tutors at The Profs if you're looking for help preparing for the academic content. I liaise with your GMAT tutor throughout the process.
Working Together
Do you guarantee I'll get an offer?
No consultant can guarantee an offer, and I'd be wary of anyone who says otherwise. I can't make a guarantee on any individual course, but my success rates speak for themselves: a 98% first- or second-choice offer rate, eight years running.
How does pricing work?
Pricing isn't listed here because every engagement is different. Get in touch and I'll give you a clear picture of cost and scope in our first conversation. No pressure, no obligation.
Are you DBS/criminal record checked?
Yes, I can provide my UK DBS certificate number on request, and also my membership number to The Tutors' Association.
